Detailed description
Yeluo Guangying Tea originates from Pu'an County in Guizhou Province. Its predecessor is the millennia-old "Funiang Tea," with traditional tea-making techniques dating back to the Ming Dynasty—more than 600 years ago. Pu'an County is proudly known as the "Home of Ancient Tea Trees," the "Cultural Hub of Tea," one of "China's Top Ten Charming Tea Towns," and the permanent site of the first-ever harvest of "Guizhou Green Tea." The county also boasts a 2-million-year-old fossil of a four-seed ancient tea seed, while its unique geographical conditions have laid the perfect foundation for the development of Pu'an Red Tea.
Pu'an has a long history of tea production, dating back to the Yelang period—or even earlier. The ancestors of the indigenous Buyi ethnic group, who have lived here for generations, were the Pu people, a tribe renowned for settling near tea-growing regions. Legend has it that their female spiritual leader, "Fu Niang," was the first to discover tea and use it to heal her people. From then on, the tradition of cultivating, harvesting, processing, and consuming tea has endured uninterrupted for thousands of years, thriving continuously through the ages. As early as the 1950s and 1960s, Pu'an began大规模 planting tea on a large scale, and by the 1980s, it had already established a 10,000-mu tea plantation—once serving as one of Guizhou's earliest bases for exporting black tea.
